Midwifery Restrictions: Countries Where Men Are Limited
In most countries, men can be midwives. However, there are a few exceptions.
* Japan: In Japan, only women are allowed to be midwives. This is due to a traditional belief that only women can understand the needs of pregnant women.
* Saudi Arabia: In Saudi Arabia, only male doctors are allowed to deliver babies. This is due to a religious belief that it is improper for a man to touch a woman who is not his wife.
* Yemen: In Yemen, only female midwives are allowed to deliver babies. This is due to a cultural belief that it is improper for a man to touch a woman who is not his wife.
It is important to note that these are just a few examples. There may be other countries or states in which men are not allowed to be midwives.
