What does the ilium have to do with disease?

The ilium, which is part of the hip bone, is not directly involved in any diseases. However, injuries or trauma to the ilium, such as fractures, can occur and cause pain and mobility issues. Additionally, certain conditions or injuries that affect the sacroiliac joint (SI joint) may involve the ilium.
