Trichomoniasis can cause a range of symptoms, including:

Trichomoniasis can also cause serious complications, including:

* Increased risk of premature birth and low birth weight
* In men:
* Prostatitis, which is inflammation of the prostate gland
* Epididymitis, which is inflammation of the tubes that carry sperm from the testicles to the penis
Trichomoniasis is curable with antibiotics, but it is important to be tested and treated early to avoid complications. If you think you may have trichomoniasis, see your doctor or nurse right away.
