Understanding Why Modern Bandages Don't Stick as Well
Bandages that stick just as they did when you were a kid are hard to find today because their original formula contained latex, which caused allergic reactions in a significant number of people.
The adhesives used in today's bandages have been reformulated to be hypoallergenic, which means they are less likely to cause allergic reactions. While modern bandages may not stick as well as the older ones, they are generally just as effective at keeping the wound covered and preventing infection.
