Drug Interactions

Taking Bystolic tablets with cardiac medications like phenylalkyamine and benziothazepine poses a risk for slowing of your heart rate.
Risks

If use of Bystolic tablets stops suddenly, there is a risk for heart attack or arrythmia, especially in patients with underlying heart conditions. The drug also poses a risk of high cholesterol, fainting, decreased liver function and severe allergic reactions, according to RxList.
Considerations

Because its effects upon fetal development are not known, doctors restrict use of Bystolic tablets during pregnancy unless there is no safe alternative. If you have a history of angina, asthma, slow heart rate, heart failure, liver disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, decreased kidney or lung functioning and adrenal gland tumors, it may not be safe for you to take Bystolic tablets.
