Understanding Low Blood Pressure: What's Normal and When to Worry
A blood pressure of 89 over 60 is considered to be low. While everyone’s blood pressure varies through the day, it’s generally accepted that people with optimal health should have blood pressure levels between 90/60 mmHg and 120/80 mmHg.
Normal blood pressure: less than 120/80 mm Hg
Pre-high blood pressure: 120 to 129/80 to 89 mm Hg
Stage 1 hypertension: 130 to 139/90 to 99 mm Hg
