Herpes 1 & 2: Can You Pass One Type to Another?
Herpes type 1 (HSV-1) usually causes oral herpes (cold sores) but can sometimes also cause genital herpes. Herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) usually causes genital herpes but can sometimes cause oral herpes. Herpes type 1 (HSV-1) and type 2 (HSV-2) do not cause each other.Herpes - Related Articles
