What is the death rate of Leprosy?

Leprosy, also known as Hansen's disease, is a chronic infectious disease caused by the bacteria *Mycobacterium leprae* or *Mycobacterium lepromatosis*. The death rate from leprosy is very low, and most cases can be successfully treated with antibiotics. However, if left untreated, leprosy can cause severe damage to the skin, nerves, and other organs. In severe cases, leprosy can be fatal, but this is rare.
