What happens if you cut a blue vein?
You cannot cut a blue vein. Blue veins are called superficial veins and are close to the surface of the skin. They carry deoxygenated blood back to the heart. However, superficial veins are very small and do not carry a lot of blood. If you cut a superficial vein, it will likely just bleed a little and stop on its own.
If you cut a deep vein, however, it can be much more serious. Deep veins are located deeper in the body and carry a lot more blood. If you cut a deep vein, it can bleed profusely and can even be life-threatening.
