Where does the blood from left ventricle go?

From the left ventricle, blood passes through the aortic valve and into the ascending aorta. The ascending aorta curves up behind the heart and provides oxygenated blood to the arteries supplying the head, neck, and arms. The ascending aorta then arches down and becomes the descending aorta, which runs down the back of the body and supplies oxygenated blood to the arteries supplying the torso, abdomen, and legs.
