Why are x rays used to diagnose pericarditis?
X-rays may have limited value in diagnosing pericarditis. While they can provide information about the size and shape of the heart and the presence of any signs of inflammation around it, they are not specific to pericarditis. Other imaging techniques, such as echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, or computed tomography, are more useful in diagnosing the condition.Heart Disease - Related Articles
