Post Lumbar Puncture Headache (PDPH): Duration, Risks & Causes
Post-dural puncture headaches occur after 12-48 hours. It is one of the most feared side effects of a lumbar puncture. Risk factors for PDPH are:
Thin patients.
Patients who have had multiple punctures.
Patients > 50 yo.
Removal >20 mL's of CSF.
