Does more hair grow back from shaving?
Shaving does not cause more hair to grow.
Shaving cuts the hair at the skin's surface, which may feel rough and stubbly. This can give the impression that hair is growing back thicker or faster. However, the actual number of hairs and the rate of growth remain unchanged.
Genetics, hormones, and other factors determine the growth of body hair. Shaving does not affect these underlying factors.
