Misoprostol for Early Pregnancy Termination: Effectiveness & Limitations

Misoprostol alone is effective in terminating pregnancies up to 12 weeks from the first day of the last menstrual period.

For the termination of pregnancies 13 to 20 weeks from the first day of the last menstrual period, misoprostol should not be used alone.
