Albinism and Population Dynamics: Understanding the Connection
Albinism does not directly affect population dynamics. It is a rare congenital disorder that affects the production of melanin, the pigment that gives color to skin, hair, and eyes. People with albinism have very little or no melanin, which results in pale skin, white hair, and light-colored eyes.
While albinism can impact the health and well-being of individuals, it does not have a significant influence on population size or growth. The prevalence of albinism in a population is relatively low, usually affecting only a small fraction of the overall population. Therefore, its impact on overall population dynamics is negligible.
