Understanding and Adjusting to Surface Optical Lenses
Surface optical lenses are used in glasses to help correct for vision impairments. While using surface lenses is fairly straightforward, it can take time for you to adjust to your new glasses prescription. Be patient and work with your doctor to address any concerns to help you to get the most out of your surface optical lenses and improve the quality of your life.
Instructions
Put your glasses on. Take a minute or two to get used to the new acuity in vision offered by the surface optical lenses.
Look through any portion of the lens to provide corrective vision if your prescription requires only a single vision correction.
Look through the top portion of the lens to see things that are far away if your vision requires bifocals.
View things through the bottom portion of the lens to read items up close if your vision necessitates a bifocal prescription.
