Iris: Understanding the Colored Part of Your Eye

The colored part of the eyeball is called the iris. The iris is a circular structure located in the front of the eye that controls the amount of light that enters the eye. It consists of muscles that contract and relax to change the size of the pupil, the black hole in the center of the iris.
