Understanding and Using Eye Patches: A Comprehensive Guide
The Prevent Blindness America organization claims that most individuals are forced to wear an eye patch because of a condition called amblyopia, which is commonly referred to as a "lazy eye." Eye patches are used to make a lazy eye work harder and train itself to see like a healthy eye. Eye patches are also worn after eye injury or eye surgery.Things You'll Need
- Eye patch
Instructions
Stretch the elastic band connected to the eye patch so that it is large enough to fit around your head.
Bring the enlarged elastic band down around your head until the eye patch is at the same level as the eye that requires the patch.
Slowly allow the elastic band to contract around the back of the head while keeping the patch secured on the desired eye.
Adjust the band around the back and sides of your head so that it fits comfortably.
