DIY Titanium Glasses Adjustment Guide: Simple Steps
Titanium is a metallic element that has the qualities of being lightweight, durable and resistant to corrosion, which makes it an ideal metal for use in eyeglass frames. Titanium eyeglass frames can be worn for longer and with less maintenance than other eyeglass frames. If your titanium frames require adjusting, since they are quite robust you can do it yourself using only a single tool.Things You'll Need
- Three-point pliers
Instructions
Set your glasses down on a table so the arms are horizontal and pointing upward. The lenses will be upside down.
Hold the lens end of the glasses down straight and flat against the table to see which of the arms need adjusting. Take note of whether the arms are too high off the table or pushing the glasses up from the table.
Make a small adjustment to the arm by closing the pliers and gently moving the arm in the right direction. Only use light pressure and work slowly.
Set the glasses back down on the table and check the alignment. If the alignment is still off, make several more small adjustments until the glasses lie perfectly flat against the table.
