Identifying Acuvue Contact Lenses: Inside Out Detection & Safety
Contact lenses sit on the front of the eye on the cornea. The lenses help to correct vision problems or they can change the color of your eyes. Before you place an Acuvue contact into your eye, you need to ensure that it is not inside out. If the contact is inside out, it can cause irritation to your eye and it will feel uncomfortable. Acuvue contacts contain a mark on the side of the lens, which makes it easier for you to determine if the lenses are inside out.Things You'll Need
- Antibacterial soap
Instructions
Wash your hands with antibacterial soap to remove any debris and dirt.
Place the contact on the tip of your index finger.
Look at the side of the contact lens. It will read "123" or "AV." If the contact lens is inside out, the "123" or the "AV" will appear reversed.
