Open Fit Hearing Aid Care: Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The receiver of an open fit hearing aid sits on top of the ear. Sound travels via a thin tube running from the hearing aid and into the ear canal. This style of hearing aid allows the wearer to more easily conceal the hearing aid. Simple maintenance is required to keep the hearing aids in top shape. For most maintenance issues, such as changing the tips, the only tools you need are your hands. Other jobs, such as changing the battery, require the use of a small screwdriver. Cleaning these tools is important to prevent ear infections.Things You'll Need
