Burdock Seeds for Cancer Support: Traditional Uses & Preparation
There are many alternative treatments out there that can be used to fight cancer and they are being combined with a selection of other treatments, both alternative and conventional. Burdock has a long history of medicinal uses and one of them is purification of the blood and a remedy to help fight cancer. When using herbs to treat conditions, brewing them into a tea is one of the most common ways to ingest the herb.Things You'll Need
- Burdock seeds
- Mortar and pestle
- Purified water (deionized)
- Kettle or saucepan
- Teapot
- Sieve or tea strainer
- Cup or mug
Instructions
Making Burdock Tea
Fill the pot or kettle with 2 cups deionized water and bring to a boil.
Lightly crush the burdock seeds in the mortar and pestle. Alternately, you can lightly smash them with a back of a knife on a chopping board.
Place 2 tablespoons of the lightly crushed seeds in a teapot.
Pour the boiling water over the top of the seeds and let steep for three to five minutes.
Pour the steeped tea through a strainer into a cup or mug and drink.
