Paramedic Resuscitation: When to Stop Life-Saving Efforts
* When the victim has been declared deceased by a physician.* When there are no signs of life and resuscitation efforts have been ongoing for at least 20 minutes.
* When the victim has a terminal illness and the family has requested that resuscitation efforts be discontinued.
* When the victim has a valid do not resuscitate (DNR) order.
* When continuing CPR would be futile.
