Effective Home Remedies for Hemorrhoid Pain & Relief
Hemorrhoids can be an uncomfortable and embarrassing digestive problem. Hemorrhoids are easily treatable using home remedies and preventative measures, which work to prevent the underlying causes and symptoms of the condition.-
Witch Hazel
-
Coat a cotton ball in witch hazel and apply it over the affected area of the hemorrhoid after each bowel movement; also use as needed for itching and burning associated with hemorrhoids. Use toilet paper coated in witch hazel to cleanse after each bowel movement.
Aloe Vera
-
Use toilet paper coated in aloe vera, either from an aloe plant, or a commercially available product, after each bowel movement. Apply aloe vera straight from the aloe plant to relieve itching and burning as needed.
Tap Water Enema
-
Keep the stool soft and easy to pass through the use of a tap water enema. Maintaining stool soft helps to relieve constipation, which causes straining. Straining to have a bowel movement intensifies the severity and duration of hemorrhoids.
