OneTouch Ultra 2 Meter Coding: A Guide for Accurate Readings
The OneTouch Ultra 2 blood glucose meter helps you manage your diabetes. With the OneTouch Ultra 2 meter, you can keep track of your blood glucose, manage your insulin or other medication requirements, and gain better control of your health. To obtain accurate results from your OneTouch Ultra 2 meter, you need to code the meter every time you insert a test strip. Although the meter may automatically detect the code, it is crucial to know how to adjust it in case your meter̵7;s code is incorrect.
Instructions
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. Check the code on the vial of test strips for your OneTouch Ultra 2.
Remove a strip from the vial and insert it into the meter with the collection end facing out. Leave the power off to the meter when you insert the strip. Watch the display for the code to appear.
Confirm that the code on the display matches the code on the test strip vial. If there is a discrepancy, or the meter displays dashes in place of a code, press the up or down arrow on the meter to adjust the number until it matches the vial.
Wait five seconds for the setting to save and the sample collection screen to appear. Do not apply blood without confirming the code to prevent inaccurate readings.
