Natural Cough Relief: Simple Home Remedies for a Soothing Recovery
Everyone will suffer from a cold or virus now and then, and a cough is a common symptom for both. Luckily there's lots of simple ways to help naturally treat a cough.
Instructions
Avoid dairy during your cold. Dairy products increase mucus production so avoid dairy until a couple of days after your cough is gone.
Drink more liquids than usual, this helps to thin the mucus. Don't drink just your regular intake of water, but also try to drink fruit and vegetable juices, as well as herbal teas. I suggest drinking peppermint tea, green tea or ginger tea for extra help with your cough.
Use a humidifier in your bedroom to help keep the air moist.
If you're suffering from post natal drip, sleep with an extra pillow at night to help elevate the head.
If you have allergies, try your best to avoid anything that irritates your allergies which can just add to your symptoms.
