Cholesterol in Bile: Risks of Gallstone Formation and Health Impacts

The accumulation of excessive amounts of cholesterol in bile can lead to the formation of cholesterol gallstones. These gallstones can block the bile ducts, causing pain and inflammation known as cholecystitis.
