Understanding Sexual Choking: Risks and Dangers
Sexual choking, also known as breath play, breath control, or erotic asphyxiation, is a type of sexual activity involving the controlled restriction of one person's ability to breathe (usually involving manual strangulation) for sexual arousal. This practice can be dangerous and has resulted in fatalities, particularly since individuals lose consciousness rapidly. If someone passes out, the person performing manual compression of the neck does not have conscious input regarding how much pressure they might exert. If someone is doing this to you without your consent, please leave or call the police.
Some ways to resist or stop it if your safety might be at risk could be:
-Scream
-Yell STOP and keep yelling it!
-Poke their eyeballs, grab fingers/groin
- Kick out
- Bite
