Coronary Arteries: Understanding the Aortic Origin - 2 Key Vessels
There are two arteries that originate from the aortic artery in coronary circulation:
* Left main coronary artery: This artery originates from the left sinus of the aorta and supplies blood to the left atrium, left ventricle, and left part of the interventricular septum.
* Right coronary artery: This artery originates from the right aortic sinus and supplies blood to the right atrium, right ventricle, and part of the interventricular septum.
