Vanilla Extract for Burns: Natural Relief & Blister Prevention
Many people who accidentally burn themselves suffer with the burn while they go to get medication from a drugstore. However, relief that could even help deter blistering may be in your kitchen cabinet. Read on to learn how to relieve burns with vanilla extract.
Instructions
Grab a bottle of pure vanilla extract from your kitchen pantry or cupboard. Common kitchen burns are typically treated with vanilla extract.
Determine if you need a cotton ball or swab by examining the size of your burn and the need for controlled application. If your burn is located in a crease in your skin, opt for the cotton swab. You should use a cotton ball if you burned a sensitive area.
Moisten the cotton ball or swab with some vanilla extract by holding the ball or swab over a sink, generously pouring some vanilla extract over it and soaking it. Try to avoid placing the cotton ball or swab against the bottle's opening, as they may contaminate the extract.
Roll the swab or cotton ball over your burn gently. Squeeze out excess vanilla extract over your skin if you chose a cotton ball for application.
Wait for relief. Reapply the vanilla extract as needed.
