Carrot Pulp for Burns: A Natural Home Remedy
Carrots are an important food, as they contain beta carotene, which the liver converts to Vitamin A. One of Vitamin A's principal properties is its ability to heal and lessen the effects of burns. Carrot pulp, therefore, is useful as a topical treatment for burns.Things You'll Need
- 1 to 2 carrots or more, depending on size of burn.
- Blender
- Meat mallet and bowl if you do not own a blender.
Instructions
Place carrot in blender and hit "chop" or "shred" a few times until the carrot is pulpy. Hit the button only three or four times, because you do not want the carrot to liquefy.
Apply pulp to burn. Use as much as needed, depending on the size of the burn.
Leave pulp on burn for 20 to 30 minutes/ Repeat as needed until burn heals.
If you do not have a blender, place carrots in a large bowl and mash them with a meat mallet until pulpy.
