UTI Symptoms: Burning, Pink Discharge & Other Signs - What You Need to Know
Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
Common Symptoms Include:
- Frequent urination
- Urgency to urinate
- Burning sensation during urination
-Cloudy or dark urine
- Strong-smelling urine
- Pelvic pain (in women)
- Rectal pain (in men)
- Fever
- Fatigue
- Nausea and vomiting
NOTE:
Burning and pinkish discharge can be symptoms of a UTI. Pinkish discharge may indicate the presence of blood in the urine, known as hematuria. While occasional microscopic hematuria is not uncommon and may not be a cause for concern, persistent or noticeable hematuria should be evaluated by a healthcare professional to determine the underlying cause.
It's important to see a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment of a UTI. Self-medication is not recommended as UTIs can be caused by different types of bacteria and the appropriate antibiotics should be prescribed.
