Meningitis is a condition that effects the brain and spinal cord. It is normally caused by a viral or bacterial infection. Meningitis is a serious condition that can result in death. Immediate and aggressive treatment is necessary. Although the virus can only live for a short time, disinfecting meningitis on surface areas and places that may have been contaminated is necessary.Things You'll Need
- Bleach
- Warm Water
- Bucket
- Towels
- Laundry Soap
- Washer and Dryer
Instructions
Prepare a solution of 1/4 cup bleach with one gallon of warm water.
Wash all surface areas. Countertops, bookcases, headboards, doorknobs, light switches, refrigerator, etc.
Wash all objects that have been touched by the individual with meningitis. Books, toothpaste, dish soap, etc.
Launder all sheets, pillowcases, bedspreads and any dirty clothes that may have been contaminated.
