Understanding the Levels of Consciousness: Waking, Dreaming & Deep Sleep
1. Waking Consciousness
This is the state of consciousness that we are in most of the time. We are aware of our surroundings and can interact with them. We can think, feel, and remember.
2. Dream Consciousness
This is the state of consciousness that we enter when we sleep. We are not aware of our surroundings and cannot interact with them. However, we can still experience thoughts, feelings, and memories. Dreams can be vivid and realistic, or they can be strange and surreal.
3. Deep Sleep Consciousness
This is the state of consciousness that we enter when we are in a deep sleep. We are not aware of anything and cannot be awakened by external stimuli. Deep sleep is essential for our physical and mental health. It allows our bodies to rest and repair themselves.
