Half of the bones in the human body are not located in the hands and feet. In fact, the hands and feet contain only a small fraction of the total number of bones in the body. Adults have 206 bones, and the hands and feet together contain only 54 of those bones. This means that just over a quarter of the bones in the body are located in the hands and feet.
