Hyaline cartilage is the most common type of cartilage in the body. It is found in:
- The articular surfaces of bones (the ends of bones that meet at joints)
- The costal cartilages (the cartilages that connect the ribs to the sternum)
- The nose
- The trachea (windpipe)
- The bronchi (the branches of the trachea that lead to the lungs)
- The larynx (voice box)
- The intervertebral discs (the discs between the vertebrae in the spine)
