Athlete's Foot: Types, Symptoms & Treatment
Types of athlete's foot
There are three main types of athlete's foot:
* Interdigital athlete's foot is the most common type. It affects the skin between the toes, usually the fourth and fifth toes. Symptoms include itching, burning, and scaling.
* Moccasin athlete's foot affects the soles of the feet and the sides of the feet, up to the ankles. Symptoms include dryness, cracking, and peeling.
* Vesicular athlete's foot is the least common type. It causes small, fluid-filled blisters on the feet. Symptoms include itching, burning, and pain.
