O Positive Blood: Donation & Compatibility - What You Need to Know
O positive blood is often called the "universal donor" because people with O positive blood can donate red blood cells to people with any blood type. However, O positive individuals can only receive red blood cells from O positive or O negative donors.
In terms of plasma, O positive individuals can receive plasma from any blood group, but can only donate plasma to O positive and AB positive individuals.
