Blood Donation and Your Period: What You Need to Know
There is no scientific evidence to suggest that donating blood can cause a woman to miss her period. The menstrual cycle is regulated by hormones, and blood donation does not affect hormone levels in a way that could cause a missed period.
However, it is possible that some women may experience a slight change in their menstrual cycle around the time they donate blood. For example, they may have a slightly shorter or heavier period than usual. These changes are usually temporary and do not last more than a few months.
If you are concerned about your menstrual cycle after donating blood, you should talk to your doctor.
