How to Use a Albuterol Inhaler
For every asthmatic, the causes of the attack are different, but the tight-chested, shallow and labored breathing is always the same. The only way to relieve the discomfort and be able to breathe is to take a hit off of an albuterol inhaler.Things You'll Need
- Albuterol inhaler
Instructions
Remove cap and shake the inhaler to mix the contents of the canister.
Hold your albuterol inhaler in your dominant hand so that your index finger is at the top of the canister and the side of your thumb is under the mouthpiece.
Put the mouthpiece in your mouth and exhale slowly.
Take a deep, slow breath in and squeeze the inhaler with your index finger and thumb. Hold the breath in for about 10 seconds.
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 if necessary.
