Managing Alzheimer's: Lifestyle Strategies & Symptom Support
Though there are no magical cures for Alzheimer's Disease, there are simple lifestyle changes that can be made to help slow the progress of Alzheimer's Disease and help to naturally treat some of its symptoms.
Instructions
Excercise regularly to help keep blood flowing to the brain and slow the progress of Alzheimer's. Try taking walks in the morning, or try taking up swimming aerobics or bicycling.
Try to keep a weekly or daily schedule to help form routines that will make it easier in the first phases of Alzheimer's Disease.
Avoid sources of aluminum and mercury. These can be in anything from antacids, to diarrhea medication, to some types of aspirin. Also be sure to have any silver mercury dental fillings replaced.
Keep your mind busy with books, activities that will help your memory, and other mental excercises. A lack of mental engagement will actually lead to a loss of brain function and can speed up the progress of Alzheimers.
