Try spending a night at a lower elevation first. This allows your body to get used to the change in altitude.
Drink plenty of fluids. Stay hydrated. At higher altitudes, there is less oxygen for your body. Do not also deprive your body of water.
Eat light meals. Eat pasta and bread.
Descend to a lower elevation.
