How to Prevent Allergies Using Quercetin
Quercetin is a strong antioxidant found in a variety of foods and some liquids. Quercetin is also a natural antihistamine that helps to prevent allergies in those who suffer regular allergies. Quercetin is also available in supplement form and is very affordable.
Instructions
Add foods containing quercetin to your diet. Such foods include red onions, apples, broccoli, blueberries and even red wine and green and black tea.
Take a quercetin supplement. Quercetin supplements come in different forms: powder, capsule and pill.
Combine your Quercetin with vitamin C or bromelain. This combination has been proven effective. The enzyme in bromelain helps your body absorb the quercetin more effectively.
Eat raw honey. Pollen is found in honey and actually contains a lot of quercetin. Eat a tablespoon a day along with your quercetin supplements or food for increased prevention of allergies.
Prepare for allergy season by consuming a higher dose of your quercetin supplement or eating larger quantities of the quercetin foods.
