  There are several places you can purchase a neti pot kit. They are available at the local pharmacy in a kit form. Also, you may purchase one online. There are several sites that sell the same products, so check around for the best price.

  First, mix 1/4 teaspoon of the fine salt. It is a special non-iodized salt that is very pure because impurities in the salt can be irritating.

  Next, lean over the sink and turn your head to the side. Keep your forehead a bit higher than your chin.

  Now insert the tip of the neti pot into your nostril. It should form a seal.

  Raise the neti pot slowly so the saline solution flows in through your upper nostril and out of the lower nostril. Breathe through your mouth while you wash your sinuses.

  After you have finished, exhale or blow your nostrils to get the water out. You can do this over the sink before going to the next step.

  Repeat on the other nostril, then exhale or blow both nostrils.
