What parenteral route would you use to test for allergies?

The intradermal skin test is the most common parenteral route used to test for allergies. In this test, a small amount of allergen is injected into the skin, and the reaction is observed. If a raised, red, itchy bump forms at the injection site, the person is considered to be allergic to that allergen.
