How long has bowel cancer been identified?
The earliest evidence of bowel cancer dates back to around 3000 BC, when it was first described in ancient Egyptian medical texts. However, it wasn't until the 16th century that the Italian physician Girolamo Fabrici d'Acquapendente first accurately described the anatomy of the colon and rectum, and it wasn't until the 19th century that the first successful surgical procedures for removing bowel cancer were performed.Gastric Cancer - Related Articles
