Hard tumor:
- Firm, solid mass that is difficult to move
- May be painful or tender
- Usually indicates a cancerous tumor
- Examples: breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer
Soft tumor:
- Soft, squishy mass that is easy to move
- Usually not painful or tender
- May be cancerous or non-cancerous
- Examples: lipoma, fibroma, hemangioma
