Where is the pineal gland located?

The pineal gland is a small endocrine gland located deep within the brain, near the center of the skull, just above the pituitary gland and in between the two cerebral hemispheres. It is a pea-sized gland that plays a role in hormone production, sleep regulation, and mood control.
