Who discovered the pancreas?
The pancreas was first described by Herophilus of Alexandria, a Greek physician and anatomist, in the 3rd century BCE. He named it πάρῐγκρεας (pankreas) which literally means "all-flesh" in Greek, which referred to the organ's fatty texture.Pancreatic Cancer - Related Articles
