Where is the base of lung located?
The base of the lung is the inferior portion of the lung that rests on the diaphragm. The right lung has three lobes: the upper lobe, the middle lobe, and the lower lobe. The left lung has two lobes: the upper lobe and the lower lobe. The bases of the lungs are separated from each other by the mediastinum, which contains the heart, great vessels, trachea, and esophagus. The bases of the lungs are also in close contact with the liver, stomach, and spleen.Lung Cancer - Related Articles
